The Sweet Auburn Curb Market
We are lucky and proud to have opened our first location in The Sweet Auburn Curb Market - a destination in its own right, with a rich history of inclusion and community.
After the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917, local farmers revitalized what was then the epicenter of the city by gathering here to sell livestock and produce, which was in dire need after the tragic fire. Housed under a large tent, the open air market was an instant hit. Realizing the value of the market to the community, the Atlanta Women’s Club launched a successful fundraising effort to erect a permanent and fireproof brick structure that opened on May 1, 1924.
Ranked by USA Today as one of the Top 20 Food Markets Worldwide, the Sweet Auburn Curb Market exists today as a one-stop shop for residents of Downtown Atlanta, boasting 28 independently-owned businesses, including restaurants, novelty shops, a bakery, fresh meat and seafood, and fresh local produce.
